Post #435 Some Say They Don’t Know

everybody at kost is out tonight. well, not exactly everybody gleny and i stayed in. i’m just super not in the mood to go out this couple of days. aarrgghhh, except for dear harry potter and the deathly hallows part one . and yesssss! you’ve probably dont’ guess it (like anybody read this thing anw), i’m going to chit chat about the movie.

very first of all please bold underline italic that i am a MASSIVE HARRY POTTER MANIAC yes, not just a fan but a maniac. like abieza and cece with their star wars thing. yeaaa, that whole lot. i have ALL THE BOOKS (by all i mean all seven series *the 5th is still with mike soo minus one :’( *

image

i’m not going to make a review of the movie, let it speaks by itself.

what’s cool about the third installment of toy story (which I waited for 11 fucking years!) is that what andy’s going through with in the movie really relates to what’s going on in my life. he’s off to college and wood buzz and the gang become the representation of part of our life that we have to sort; bring it with me or just let go and move on.

why did i put the quote from that three three-eyed little aliens as the title? the claw became the shine of light in the movie. dear lord, they gave up to the incinerator. they are going to burn to ashes. they just bluntly sat there waiting to be destroyed; together all in all. and then those petite little aliens brought the claw to the rescue.

how you take this lesson is all on you :) for me is NEVER TO GIVE UP and however hard the obstacles in store for you TRUST YOURSELF IN GOD :)

this movie will speak on its own and means on however one takes it so i will not say anything about it. it means to me personally and it’ll be my own little adventure. you go watch it, not just promotional here *i work with neither disney nor pixar :9* i’m the kind of kid who grow up with disney movies. they practically raised me to be who i am today (practically because my own parents never spent a second on bringing me up). that’s why this movie is my own personal adventure and joy. i’m sorry, i just won’t share it :9

he’s been my best friend ever since i could remember” andy on woody.

Post #384 Green Zone is So Not a Good Zone to be!

today, at around 3 o’clock PM i went to inten fatmawati to meet up with nico and went together to Pejaten Village to watch a movie – at first we were going to watch THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS. but it was sold out, so we watched green zone instead.

the movie starring matt damon and directed by paul greengrass (they colaborated in bourne ultimatum and bourne supremacy) was about the iraq war and quest to look the weapon of mass destruction. i’m so going to spoil the ending here: there’s no such thing as WMD (it had been dismantled since the end of the gulf war) and the big iraqi traitor, General Al Rawi was shot dead by a local patriotic civilian who’s helping the US Military.

okay, as a major big fan of the united states army, i still madly in love the action (although it wasn’t, like, as good as band of bro’s) though disappointed with the movie. it’s clearly not greengrass’ best. i’ve seen bourne ultimatum and i watched it with a six year old. he got afraid that means it’s a good action movie. this one, it got me asleep.

great cast though damon, amy ryan, brendan gleeson (the bastard who played mad eye moody in harry potter installment number 4 and 5).

honestly, because i’m obsessed with world war 2 i don’t really fancy this one. but there’s a little pentagon-white house-CIA action and, somewhat, still something i want to do. although i have to be an american to do so (i guess) haha! that intel part, jesbon and i were LOVING IT!

okay, i just took a little surfing down wikipedia looking about the next installment of harry potter and got very exited! bill nighy is going to play minister of magic rufus scrimgeour. and looking forward to another brilliant performance from my favorite death eater ms. bellatrix lestrange played by the one and only helena bonham carter. bill nighy is, like, on of my top favorite Brit actors! he usually play the not so good guy though. this one as well, scrimgeour is so the not so good type of guy.

and also while looking at this, i found out that a sequel of the 2005 commercially successful nanny mcphee is on production. emma thompson and ralph fiennes will star (although the adorable thomas sangster will not be involved).

and just now, i read that the beloved mother of adolf hitler (one of my top role model – somebody would kill me for this), klara hitler, was born on august 12, 1860. such a big wadefak FYI moment here!

okay, before i start making stupid and weird writings here: I’LL STOP. TTYL, bloggies!

Post #375 Off With Her Head!

ten years after alice kingsley first tumbles down the rabbit hole, she came back to wonderland!

as a child being fed with disney classic growing up (thank God for never-home-divorced-parents and most awesome grandparents who didn’t want stupid rubbish cartoons get in my mind), i watched over and over of Lewis Carol’s magical timeless tale of Alice in Wonderland Disney had created. mad hatter had always been my up most favorite and the most awesome number is golden afternoon sung by the flowers ;) i also had read the book times and times!

now 56 years after the release of the original disney fantastic Alice in Wonderland adaptation, a-sort-of sequel is made by the amazing director-actor-actress trio Tim Burton-Johnny Depp (Mad Hatter)-Helena Bonham Carter (Iracebeth, The Red Queen) and addition to their uber amazing creative cast: Mia Wasikowska (Alice), Alan Rickman (Absolem, The Caterpillar), Michael Sheen (White Rabbit), Anne Hathaway (Mirana, The White Queen).

well no spoiler here! although i’m the kind of movie freak who watch a movie because i know the history of the story and  what’s-going-on with the director+actors+actresses and not like the hypocrite stuck up kids who watch Sherlock Holmes and don’t even know who Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is and his amazing wonderful 58 published stories of Holmes and dr. Watson *many classmates of mine actually*. i’m not being hard or bitchy about it, but that’s just who i am, i’m a reader and a writer/blogger. i’m not going to watch a movie just because everybody else are watching it, but because it has a sentimental value on myself. why would i spent money i don’t work hard for and ask from my grandparents to watch under worthless circumstances as it’s a popular movie. it’s never on my principles to do so. sort of stupid, yes?

well that’s it for alice in wonderland 2010 and my personal opinion about it and going to a movie :)
